All clients begin with Foundations. We go back over the Beginners curriculum and show you how each exercise can be used in real life. You'll learn to seamlessly integrate training into everyday walks to build connection, communication, and contentedness. With Foundations you'll grow your confidence and versatility. You'll learn when to use the skills you’ve already practised, adapting them on the fly, and see just how useful they really are. You’ll get to enjoy the space with your dog, feel more confident using your training out and about, and practise working around everyday distractions in a structured way.
In Urban, we take your real-world skills further, applying them in livelier environments like café settings, village streets, and local high streets. You’ll practise working around increased distractions; people, traffic, smells, and noise while keeping your dog focused and responsive. You’ll explore how to use your existing training toolkit in new ways: settling beside an outdoor table, waiting at a kerb, or weaving through foot traffic. We’ll build your confidence reading the environment, preparing your dog for success, and adapting your training on the fly — so everyday walks feel smooth, successful, and enjoyable.
Take your real-world training to the next level. Help your dog stay calm, focused, and responsive around the natural distractions you can’t always control. You’ll practise working near wildlife triggers like birds, squirrels, and rustling undergrowth, learning how to spot early signs of arousal and respond quickly. We’ll build your ability to manage chase instincts and strengthen your dog’s ability to re-engage with you, even when the environment is exciting. You’ll learn how to set your dog up for success around moving animals, manage arousal levels safely, and transfer your indoor control to outdoor, unpredictable settings. Build reliability without confrontation.
