Beyond Beginners
- These classes are led by Pippa, an ABTC Animal Training Instructor, Certified Companion Obedience Specialist, Gold Level Scent Work Instructor, Loose Leaders and Rapid Recallers Instructor, Certified Predation Substitute Instructor and Certified Control Unleashed Instructor.
- Practical and Enjoyable: Traditional progression courses follow rigid, pre-set frameworks and can often feel like going back to school with dull homework to complete. Beyond Beginners is the complete opposite. Beyond Beginners is a crafted course and unique to Focus Dog Behaviour and Training. Built on solid foundations but enriched with extra's I’ve added to make training both practical and fun. You and your dog will gain skills you’ll use every day and genuinely enjoy.
- Three for One Training: Beyond Beginners is a five-level progression programme that takes your training to the next level and keeps it fun. You’ll build on your dog’s obedience foundations while also learning Scentwork and Talking Dogs Rally, all included in the same course. Each class includes:
- 🐾Scent Detection – introduced from week one, starting at UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze level.
- 🐾Talking Dogs Rally – a fun, practical sport where you and your dog navigate a walking course, completing different exercises at each station.
- 🐾 Obedience Progression – real-life skills with increasing distractions, challenges, and confidence-building exercises.
- No need to pay for separate courses - it’s all part of the programme.
- Open to Everyone: You don't need to have already trained with me.
- Build on Your Progress – Build duration and distance, introduce distractions, and enhance focus, manners, and reliability.
- Suitable For Every Dog – The activities in this course are many and varied, and suit all breeds.
- Continue to Stimulate Your Dog – It's really hard to know how to provide the mental stimulation your dog craves. This class takes care of that. You'll never be stuck for something to do!
- Continued Support – Having weekly access to your trainer is a great source of continued support and guidance.
- Achieve More – Progress naturally through different levels of competence at no extra cost! Assessment is stress-free through in-class observation. There's no tests, no pressure.
